"I was thoroughly pleased with the Patience and Professionalism of Jeuan Parker Sinbad. I really appreciate having the Pleasure of working with a True Local. Many people claim to be a local once they move here, but Jeuan is the real deal. I was born in Conway and went to Conway High School with Jeuan's Father, Bob Parker, in the mid 70s.Bob was always a straight up person and he raised Jeuan well. My appreciation goes way beyond knowing her Father. For a couple of Decades, I had a Franchise with Novus Windshield Repair covering Horry, Georgetown, and Marion Counties. I literally had a list of Every Single Agent and worked saving Thousands of Dollars for most. As such, I knew every Agent and the process each Caims Department has, so I have a Plethora of experience with multiple Insurance representatives. Previously I had coverage with a Company that purchased the Accounts from an Insurance Agency that my Brother in Law sold. "I have been a State Farm policy holder since 2001. My 5 homes and numerous vehicles have been covered by State Farm in that time in 3 different states. Not a single payment was late or missed on my premium. As a responsible driver and policy holder, I decided a long time ago to safeguard myself and family from potential issues that could arise by carrying Uninsured Motorist Coverage as part of my policy hoping that I would never have to use it. We moved to South Carolina in 2021 where I switched my policy to the Jackie Stokes agency in Conway after doing research and deciding his office would be the best fit for my needs. Shortly thereafter, Jackie retired, and my policy was moved over to the Bobby Clary agency. October of 2022, I had to use my Uninsured Motorist Coverage. I was rear-ended by a driver who provided false insurance to the police after he ran from the accident. The $200 deductible saved me a few thousand in repairs to my vehicle. In August of 2024, I added my girlfriend and her vehicle to my policy and unfortunately, a few months later she was involved in an accident at a roundabout where it was deemed, she was at fault. Total damages of the two vehicles were around $16,000. Our vehicle was repaired by a great company in town, and we moved on, or so we thought. 2 weeks ago, we received a mailing stating that State Farm would not be renewing our policy citing the two accidents as the justification. I received a missed call from Bobby Clary’s office last Friday 6/27 while out of state for work, with no voicemail left. I called the agency yesterday to discuss the missed call and was informed about the cancellation of our policy. Bobby was in meetings all day and was unable to return my request for a callback, so I was communicating with his team throughout the day. I was informed they called and, “either spoke with someone or left a voicemail” on 3/10/2025 to discuss the cancellation. I did not receive a call on that date from their office. And I’d not received ANY calls from their office about them losing a customer until they had ALREADY CANCELLED my policy. We had been driving a financed vehicle with no insurance for over a week. I requested they appeal the decision with their underwriters and was informed they would make that call and have Bobby call me back. I did not hear back from Bobby Clary until the next day (today) to discuss. He said that it only shows me being a State Farm customer 3 years when he took over my policy, but oddly, he knew the name of my agent in Florida, where we moved from, without me mentioning it. 24 years of being a loyal customer that has never missed a payment, and one at fault claim, and they dropped me with absolutely zero communication from my State Farm office other than some supposed mailings that were auto generated. Horrible communication and customer service and lack of accountability and this communication gap. Do yourself a favor and find a different agent in Myrtle Beach and a different carrier for that matter. Fast forward from July to September... At the time of my auto policy being cancelled, in July, I spoke with Bobby regarding my remaining home owners policy. He told me that my policy would increase from $2,033 from last year to when it renews (Nov. 2025) it would go up to roughly $3,100. My renewal declarations documents arrived yesterday (9/23/25) and show that the amount is now $3,472, an increase from what Bobby told me himself of $372. This is absolutely NOT OK and NOT what I was told. More questionable practices from this office. Luckily the money I've saved by having my autos through Progressive should offset this difference until I switch my homeowners as well."

"Tim, thank you for your updated review. I understand you’re frustrated, and I respect you taking the time to explain your perspective. To be completely transparent — there was unfortunately nothing we could have done at the agency level to prevent the cancellation of your auto policy. Underwriting decisions, including non-renewals, are made at the corporate level and are based on claims history and risk factors, not something we control as your local agency. Once the auto policy was non-renewed, the multiline discount that had previously helped reduce your homeowner's premium fell off, which is why you saw an increase. When we last spoke, I shared a rough estimate of what your homeowner's premium might increase to once the multiline discount fell off which you reference in your review. At that time, we were not yet aware of the additional statewide rate increase that was about to be applied across South Carolina. That new factor ultimately pushed the renewal premium higher than my initial estimate. I completely understand how frustrating that can feel — especially when you’ve been a loyal customer for many years — but I want to be clear that there was no intent to mislead, and no questionable practices involved. We shared the best available info at the time, but ultimately, the final pricing and decisions came from State Farm directly. We always strive for clear and timely communication. - Bobby"
